The fix is simple enough to apply, it’s just a pain if, like me, you exhaust all other possibilities before re-flashing the SAS2LP-MV8 card firmware. I called Supermicro and they state that the drivers for the card need to be loaded into unraid.

The errors could aoc-saslp-mc8 from the cable you are using to connect the drives At least lshw -c storage sees the controller, and fdisk -l sees the attached HDD now. I don’t know if it is significant but when you run mvf it reports the version of the ROM and the version of the firmware on any adapters it finds.

Aoc-salsp-mv8 it looks like my best bet is probably to go the IBM M route. What is the white plug J6 for on this card? I have come across a few references to the Marvell drivers, which may be the correct ones for this card, but there are no specific references to this particular card and getting it to work with FreeBSD. What BIOS exactly should be changed from stock?
